Here are the winds so far today. 80s in the mountains. Winds barely reached advisory criteria over most of Western WA, but the San Juans were firmly wind-advisory material. I believe wind advisory is defined as 30-39 mph sustained for an hour or more or wind gusts of 46-57 mph, but I think the offices also issue them based on impact, which is a little more subjective. But with our big trees and saturated soils, even 40 mph winds can do lots of damage.
