  • FINALLY!

It’s one thing to be overjoyed at the first stormy forecast of autumn, but to actually see the moderate rain, gusty winds, and even the mountain snow associated with it is nothing short of wonderful. […]

  • Radar is showing some rain headed our way, and we could certainly use it.  With the unseasonable heat that we have had, everything is drying out and lawns are brown.  I think we are making up for our cool A […]

    • Hi Cathie! Just read your bio, thanks for posting, I enjoyed reading it. Believe me, this blogging here is a lot of fun, and always a challenge, I am always learning something new. Right now, I was just trying to send you a general message, and this method here seems to be the only way I am seeing right now. I have tried Live Chat but it always tells me I must be a registered member, but I have been a registered member for a while now and if I say so, one of the more prolific bloggers here. I always enjoy feedback, but as is usually the case I don’t get much feedback except from Charlie. I need to work on getting more old weatherquackers on here, some may not know about it yet – Nathan said he messaged Josh sometime ago, but he still hasn’t shown up here at all yet. I miss his posts. I hope you will see this reply, and can reply back sometime. I have to check the bloggers map and see if you made it on there yet. As a lifelong professional cartographer I always enjoy and appreciate the depiction of data or information on a good map. Jeff Taylor is also a cartographer, we have a lot of similar interests and have known each other for over 20 years. Take care, Kevin

Cool and humid conditions will keep the potential for large fire low across the region through the end of this week. The offshore wind event across Southern California looks weak and will most likely not increase the large fire threat much next weekend. Light initial attack activity will continue across the region…[Read more]
