What a nasty morning!  The freezing rain hasn’t started yet but is on the way.  A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until tomorrow afternoon and the warning area keeps spreading southward.  I have to go to wo […]

Yesterday was a fantastic day except for the strong winds.  Highs reached the lower 70s for the first time this year, and there was plenty of sun.  But winter isn’t giving up just yet.  We have the quiet be […]

We had a very mild night which will be followed by a very warm Thursday.  Our highs could reach the mid to upper 60s for a change but unfortunately it won’t last.   We received 0.14 inches of rain ov […]

To say that this is getting annoying is an understatement to be sure.  We can look forward to about three days of normal temps, then back to winter once again.  I don’t ever remember having an April like t […]

We woke, once again, to a white world this morning.  We didn’t get much but at this time of year, any is too  much.  There is a huge warm-up coming tomorrow and it is expected to last through the weekend.  But […]

This is yet another grey day in Mid Michigan but the sun is trying to peek through the clouds.  At least the strong winds are gone and most  precip appears  to missing us or not reaching the ground.  Tem […]

Our Sunday is beginning with clear skies, light winds but very cool temperatures.  This is expected to continue until Wednesday when our high temp should finally be in the normal range.  At least with the s […]

Although we have clear skies this morning, our temperatures still feel like late winter.  We had a quick snow squall in the late afternoon Friday which created almost whiteout conditions; but thankfully it […]

Once again, our world is white this morning.  We only received a little over an inch so I expect that will be gone by this afternoon. It melted down to 0.07″.  Temperatures are expected to be  rising over th […]

This morning seems peaceful with sun and light winds.  Unfortunately there is another winter event looming on our horizon.  Most of the snow that we received yesterday has already melted but we could see a […]

They told us to expect it, but we didn’t want to believe it.  We’re lucky that it’s only an inch.  Some places up north received a foot.  Regardless, we should be seeing flowers sprouting, not snow.  Yes […]

So far there are no winter weather advisories for my area and I’m hoping that it stays that way.  Northern Michigan could receive as much as a foot of snow with lesser amounts just to our north and west.  L […]

Easter Sunday began with cloudy skies, but the sun came out later in the day.  Today should be quite nice with plenty of sun.  Unfortunately, there is another snowstorm looming in our future.  At this time, it […]

Yes, there was a very thin layer of snow on my deck this morning when I got up, and our temperatures won’t be much warmer than they are right now.  This is much too cold for the first week of April and […]

Our weekend is starting out with blustery weather and rain.  It’s going to be a not-so-nice Easter for us.  I was hoping that the forecast would change but no such luck.  What’s worse is that there is no wa […]

Mother Nature is giving us the promise of sunshine today although temperatures will be cool.  That’s better than what we are expecting next week.  Highs are predicted to only be in the 30s all week long and s […]

Our Thursday morning is mild but fog is developing at the present time.  We received 0.03″ overnight and showers are expected to continue through the day.  Highs will continue to fall as we go through the w […]

This morning is starting out damp and cloudy but the sun is expected to make a showing later this afternoon.  Temperatures could reach near the 50 mark, so it should be a lovely afternoon.  Unfortunately, it i […]

We have finally received some rain although we could use much more.  There was 0.21″ in my gauge at 8 AM and it is still sprinkling.  Radar is showing much more to come.  This week will see above average te […]

We should enjoy today because the remainder of the week doesn’t sound so good.  We should reach the 50s this afternoon but there will still be a brisk wind from the southeast.  Then rain will move in t […]
