    • Nathan, do you have any suggestions for a reasonably priced weather station? Are you familiar with the one that Ryan Hall advertises, although I really don’t want to spend that much? His is in the $300 range. Thanks.

    • Hi Cathie! Sorry I didn’t respond until now. I couldn’t see people’s comments.

I now work for Davis Instruments since Earth Networks and Davis merged under AEM, so I’ve been doing cross-company work for Davis and Earth Networks. Our cheapest weather station is the Vantage Vue. It’s compact and pretty reliable. ScientificSales.com offers good pricing on them.

I do have the WeatherFlow Tempest installed at my house alongside my Davis Vantage Pro 2 (which WeatherFlow is actually my competitor now). Temperature is accurate on it, and it’s useful for rain alerts, on-site lightning alerts, and powering the hourly forecast in the app. However, its rain readings are wildly inaccurate compared to my Davis and my CoCoRaHS rain gauge.

      Hope this helps!
