Thanks for the info, Kevin! I do have the 4” CoCoRaHS gauge I purchased from Weather Your Way, but what’s strange is it also froze over during this winter event. I guess it was just too cold. 🙂 This is the first time I’ve had both gauges freeze over, so this event must have packed a punch to our area. By the way, my WT email is back up and runni…[Read more]

It’s another Saturday and time for another Weekly Wrap Up! This week brought frigid temperatures to the Natural State, as well as about one inch of snow to Hot Springs (and real snow instead of only ice this […]

Thanks for another great report Nathan. Don’t you have a 4 inch cocorahs rain gauge you use? Comes in real handy when your automated gauge freezes over, and helps you get some of your snowfall data. I want complete data sets for my station so I supplement my VP2 data with rain and snow data I collect manually. You cannot get around that and you should adapt when needed.

Great post on the weather in Bethlehem! We do have a couple of Earth Networks weather stations in Israel, and the data is visible in Sferic Maps plus WeatherBug pulls in the current conditions. If you need the archives to them, I can likely get it. I also have a couple of articles from biblical scholars on the birth of Jesus, one who offers proof…[Read more]

Looks pretty good Nathan. Some of the graphics in your most recent post did not come out very readable on my end. Not sure if I am supposed to click on each graphic to make them larger or not- if I have to do that or not. I sure hope the site can become more interactive and we can determine that our posts are being read and prompting interest in the form of leading questions to prompt more comment. Thanks again Nathan

Since writing this blog post, I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon for my cell phone provider. Verizon does offer their own signal booster called the Network Extender, plus most phones now offer Wi-Fi Calling. They offer a similar multiple number service to T-Mobile DIGITS, although I haven’t tried it. I do also have a cellular iPad and Apple Watch on Verizon, plus I upgraded to the highest mobile hotspot plan for my iPhone. For home phone, I’m on Nuso at the moment (a VOIP provider) but looking at moving to Verizon Wireless Home Phone.
